Well here I am again with ANOTHER blog. Since I moved from LA, I guess "californiabrendan.blogspot.com" doesn't really fit. So welcome to "ChicagoBrendan.blogspot.com". I will try to keep this updated as much as possible on my journey and life in Chicago.
Well for those of you who don't know already, I'm moving November 1st to Chicago with two of my good friends- Andrew Newton and Rachel Bates. We are all KCT people and have been friends for awhile.
We went up to Chicago a couple weekends ago and found 2 apartments we REALLY liked. We were second in line for one of them, the nicer of the two, because a family had looked at it twice and really liked it. So we decided on the other place. A 3-bdrm, 1-bath, full living room, full dining room, and a kitchen for $800/month. GREAT DEAL!! We got a phone call on Wednesday from the landlord of the nicer place that we were second in line for, because the family had backed out. He was wondering if we were still interested. Well we made a deal with him, and we got the nicer apartment, which is actually a condo. So for me and my condomates...that sounds really weird...we're super excited!! We're headed up there Tuesday night to move SOME stuff in, but the bulk of it will be moved in Sunday morning. Tuesday will be mostly used to clean the place. But it's only 3 years old, new everything, including windows and cabinets and countertops. It's such an awesome place. When I go up there Tuesday, I'll take pictures and post some here.
